Youth camp in Rogla was one of the most incredible things I’ve done in my life. Everything was perfect, from the guys who shared with me this experience, to the amazing people who organized it. The workshops we made and the debates we had were so inspiring and gave me the imput to do something important in my country, as many of the guys already have done. It was also interesting to see, through all the presentations, how different we are, what issues we have and how we want to change things in the future.

Before I went to Rogla, I felt really sceptical about the camp. I was worried that being the youngest one there would be a huge problem for me to cooperate with other, older people. I couldn't have been more wrong! I can definitely say, that the week spent in Slovenia was one of the best (if not THE best) week of my life. Now I'm really full of ideas that I can implement in Poland and I'm very eager to focus more on diabetes in my country. It hasn't been even 3 days since we've said out goodbyes, but I feel like it's been ages. It was legen...(wait for it)...DARY!

During the IDF camp in Rogla 2012 I learnd a lot of new things, some things about the differences in healtcare and the situation in the different European countries and some new sports. We got a lot of information and inspiration that we can use in or future work for diabetes. I also got at least 23 new great friends that I hope to meet again and we had a lot of fun together. The week was unforgetable!!!

The beauty of living with diabetes” was always a sentence that disturbed me. I know it gave a lot of strength and perseverance to achieve things in my life, but the bad side was always winning in my mind. But now “Rogla” happened and I’ve learned so many new things about how to achieve goals in life with and by diabetes. I have met amazing people and I am planning to continue working with them to reach our goals and to maintain the connection with these new amazing friends. Rogla was, without doubt, the best week of my life.
